If you are visiting Athens, you should not miss the chance to visit the Athenian Riviera and the spectacular Cape Sounio!

Escape from the hustle of the city, enjoy the scenic route all the way along Athens coast, enjoy the splendid views over the Saronic Gulf, take a wine tour in one of Attica’s best wineries and taste some signature Greek wines, visit the Doric temple of Poseidon, dedicated to the God of the Sea and capture beautiful panoramic photos from the steep cliffs of Cape Sounio. Complete your day with lunch at a seaside restaurant and taste some delicious Greek food!

This tour will take you on an unforgettable experience in the beautiful Attica South coastal zone!

After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel at about 9:30 am and we will drive along the main coastal avenue of Athens heading to Anavyssos. On our way, you can admire the stunning views of the deep blue crystal clear waters of the Saronic Gulf and the nice Athenian beaches!

In less than 1 hour, we will get to one of the most renowned wineries of Attica region, where you can explore the magical world of wines! We will first walk through the vineyards, while our local guide will give us more information regarding the different grape varieties. Afterwards we will visit the winery, where we will explain to you the wine – making method from the processing of the must to the wine production and bottling. You will then taste 3 to 5 different varieties of fine Greek wines, accompanied by bread sticks and cheese.

Around noon, you can enjoy your lunch in one of the traditional seaside tavernas, before we head to the dramatic Cape Sounio, located at the southernmost tip of Attica peninsula. This is one of the best places to visit on a half-day excursion from Athens. Standing atop sheer cliffs overlooking the Aegean Sea, the Temple of Poseidon is one of the most important archaeological sites in Attica, having also served as a landmark for sailors from ancient times until today.  You walk around the archaeological site and feel the energy that this site fills you up with.

Do not forget your cameras, as every single photo taken there could be a card postal!

Depending on the season, we can enjoy a swim in the clear fresh waters of the Aegean sea and relax, until we board our private car for our return way.
