A few words about the area:

Vradeto, a village built around 1616 A.D. is considered to be the “balcony” of Zagorochoria due to its high altitude and the gorgeous view to the surrounding landscape. The Steps of Vradeto, this ornate stone construction consisting of 1200 stairs and 39 turns, took around 20 years to complete and was built more than 200 years ago by local “mastoroi” (craftsmen) using stones of the area. It has 3 lanes, two built with white stones for the people and one with black stones for the animals that were plenty in the area until some decades ago.

Beloi (pronounced Baeloy – the name has probably slavic origin, meaning “good view”) gets thousands of tourists every year because of the breathtaking and panoramic view to the Vikos gorge that you defininately have to experience in person!
