Our rafting in Aracthos river activity is a life time experience for fun-loving adventurers and also an easy and safe tour for families with children.
The tour starts from the bridge of Plitsa in Ampelochori and ends after the bridge of Plaka. This rafting route takes place on the eighth longest river of Greece and is crossing the amazing area of Tzoumerka. During this tour you will enjoy the continuous turns of the route and the rapids of 2nd and 3rd degree.
This rafting experience combines a rugged landscape, many springs and waterfalls, and the amazing gorge of Arachthos!
You can combine this activity with our other adventure activites in the Zagori or Grevena areas!

I must have water with me and how much?
During Rafting we will not find drinking water (spring or tap). We suggest that each participant has their own water.
How long does the activity last?
Rafting lasts about 2 hours, depending on the amount of water in the river. The whole activity with transportation, training, change of clothes and the picnic takes 4 to 5 hours.
What shoes are good to have?
Sports shoes that will get wet or Teva-style sandals or technical neoprene shoes are suitable.
What clothes should I have for the activity?
We’ll only need our swimsuits for the summer season and when it’s cold we’ll wear our neoprene suits.
Do I have to have any specific equipment for the activity?
You will need a towel, sunglasses, sunscreen and a bottle of water.
Can a carry my own personal items (camera , phone , watch etc)
Be advised though, bringing your own personal equipment is at your own risk and we are not responsible for any lost or damaged equipment in the event of any rafting incident.
